The new imaging equipment is installed in an upgraded area of the hospital built and maintained by Whittington Facilities Limited (WFL). WFL has been working in partnership with the Trust for the last 17 years to provide quality accommodation for the delivery of acute healthcare services (overall rating of good by the Care Quality Commission, CQC) to the local community in North London.
Over the past two years, the Whittington Health Trust has updated the entirety of its diagnostic imaging equipment. The upgrade, which has cost £4 million, covers 14 ultrasounds, a CT scanner, a fluoroscopy system, five digital x-ray rooms two mobile x-ray machines, one digital dental x-ray and a mammography unit. It was overseen by service and maintenance provider Althea.
